Azimuth celebrates international women's day

AZIMUTH ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF INTERCOLLEGIATE ENGLISH ESSAY COMPETITION CONDUCTED ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY.

Pondicherry, India – 09 MAR 09: Today, Azimuth, a leading Medical Transcription and E-learning company headquartered in Pondicherry, announced the results of the Intercollegiate English Essay Competition conducted to celebrate International Women’s Day. Students from the arts & science colleges of Puducherry participated in the event.

Mohana Priya from Achariya Arts and Science College bagged the First Prize of Rs. 2000, while Lakshmi and Mohammed Rasitha Banu of Bharathidason Government College for Women bagged the Second Prize & Third Prize of Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 respectively.

The Chairman & Managing Director of Azimuth, Mr. Terry Leger who was the Chief Guest congratulated the winners and distributed the prizes. During his Women’s Day speech, Mr. Leger reemphasized the opportunities available to women and the fact that women held the highest managerial positions at Azimuth. The importance of English learning and Medical Transcription being a recession-proof industry were also stated.

Azimuth currently has more than 300 people including 120 trainees and it is expecting to double its production capacity within next two years. Azimuth is providing Medical Transcription Services to the leading hospitals in the US and it has a strategic partnership with one of the world’s largest Medical Transcription Service provider.
