Retweet on Twitter

As we all know, Twitter is at its acme among the other micro blogging sites. It allows the user to send and read text-based messages with a character limit of 140; thereby it serves as “SMS of the Internet”. Since its inception in 2006, Twitter has attained a massive growth and notability among the Internet users. Services like Twitter show the power of communication at a rapid pace. So to say, even a step ahead of blogs in delivering information in seconds. It is a nice application to meet like-minded people and to talk one to one.

This is one of the new applications introduced by Twitter. This blog speaks on how to retweet on Twitter? The retweet (or “RT”) allows Twitter users to share the best links and tweets they find from the people they are following. They can copy and paste the original tweet and send it out. Users usually put “RT” plus the tweet originator’s username at the beginning of the tweet to give credit to the original person. Here’s an example:

The advantage of Retweet is that the most popular retweets tend to reflect the favourite articles and most important stories of the entire Twitter community. This can be great if you want to find important articles, read useful blog posts, or when trying to track any emerging trends.

Obama's healthcare plan may help Indian IT players

Obama’s stimulus plan proposes to allocate $150 billion to healthcare. Of this, nearly $20 billion is proposed for healthcare IT alone, most of which is expected to spent on Electronic Health Records (EHR). This allocation, as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, is opening up the healthcare IT market like never before. It is bringing in a host of opportunities for EHR vendors, healthcare IT service providers and hospital systems.

If the American Recovery and Reinvestment plan as proposed by Obama goes live, it will help hospitals maintain a digital record of the patients. If a patient decides to change his/her healthcare provider, the hospital can easily share the EHR with the next healthcare provider, thus ensuring portability for the EHRs
